Brilliant Clothes Hack for Women – No Clothes Wasted

I think most women have a closet full of clothes. It takes a lot of efforts to stuff all your outfits into your suitcase when you travel. But when it comes to picking what to wear for the night, we wonder “Where are all of my clothes? I might just have to cancel. I got nothing to wear.”

Unlike men who can follow Steve Jobs’ looks of rocking the same t-shirt and jeans every day, us girls have to be very conscious about not wearing the same outfits too often. Besides, one small tear or spill can easily ruin some of our most adored clothing.

But 123 Go! released this awesome video recently to offer us easy tips for creating fabulous brand new couture using ordinary or even ruined fabric.

So here are some tricks to turn generic into FLY.

Shirts That Can’t Hide Your Pit Stains

DIY veil

I think we can all empathize with having to throw out a shirt you loved because it too clearly showed your pit stains in the summer regardless of how much deodorant you used.

There’s an easy fix which does not involve a jacket or adding heavy layers to your already burning-up body.

Here’s how:

  • You can use a wide, summer scarf or thin shawl/pashmina
  • First, open it up and wear it like a veil
  • Then pull both corners in front of your chest and tie them together
  • Take the knot over your head
  • And you got yourself a funky vest

When You have a Small Rip in Your Pants’ Crotch Area

It is heartbreaking when you have a tear in your trousers’ crotch holes. Even though it’s not the most visible area, it’s technically ruined since you can’t get caught walking around with crotch holes in your pants in public.

The good news is that you don’t have to throw it out. You can make it into a crop top!

Fold the pants and cut out the little pointy area around your crotch, creating a bigger hole.

Put your head through that hole and slip your hands in what used to be the pant legs.

Also, if you want to ‘bedazzle’ your new hipster crop top, you can easily find DIY kits for glamming up!

Maxi Skirt into a Floaty Dress

This is simple. You bring up your skirt up to your boobs, throw a belt around your waist, and BOOYA! You have a dress.

Sometimes going simple is the best option.

PJ Dress

Do you sometimes wish that you can just wear your PJ to work? Are you late to work and have no idea what to wear?

Here’s an idea that will uplift your morning. It will work with baggy sweatpants (especially if they’re silky).

Put both legs in one pant leg, pull the pants up to your chest, and put your head through the other leg. It becomes a cute little dress!

And when you get home from work, you can just pull it back down before falling on your couch for Netflix time.

From Work to Happy Hour

If you wear a blouse or tank top with spaghetti straps under a blazer at work, there’s a fun way to give it a little more spunk before heading to a bar to meet up with your friends.

Just grab the straps and slide them over to your head to either side.

Immediately, it makes it look like a sexier outfit, appropriate for a cocktail lounge outing!

Avoiding a Booty Slip

The pair of shorts you once loved all of a sudden feel really short. You are constantly pulling them down and do not want to have an embarrassing booty slip.

Don’t you worry! This gives you an opportunity to add some flair to your jean shorts.

  • Squeeze glue along the backside of the bottom edge (start with one of 2 sides – left or right)
  • Put a cute scrap of fabric (lace would work nicely) and press firmly on the glue
  • Flip the shorts over then glue the fabric on the bottom edge so it wraps around the shorts nicely

Now, it almost looks like a completely different outfit!

Oversize T-Shirt Becomes a Skirt

Again, an opportunity to wear your pj out without anyone knowing about it.

If you have an oversize t-shirt, you can turn it into a floaty skirt.

Slide both your arms through the neck and pull the shirt down to your waist.

Tuck your sleeves in so they will look like pockets!

So easy! You just pull it down and reverse it. Like we said, sometimes simple is exactly what you need!

Coffee Art?

Last but not least, making your plain, stained shirt into vintage.

Let’s say you spilled coffee on your white shirt. You know it’s not going to come off so there’s no point in trying to scrub it off.

How about you just embrace it? Get a marker and outline each stain mark with the pen. (Yes, add more mess)

You can add your own letters or doodles too. Now it’s art.
