The second largest house in the world is unbelievably located in Asheville, North Carolina. This is none other than the Biltmore estate which was completed in 1895. It is the largest private residence in the US with a floor area of 178,926ft2. It is made up of 250 rooms, three kitchens, 43 bathrooms, 65 fireplaces, banquet hall, indoor pool (70,000), bowling alley and a 23,000 book library.
